Consport Inc. produces and markets several types of red aggregate for the landscaping and construction industries. The following are two sources of raw material and a number of uses for each.

Brick

Red crushed brick is used extensively as an attractive landscape product with the 3/4" clear gradation popular as decorative ground cover. In these applications Crushed Brick is a very good product, however, in areas of high abrasion, such as driveways, we recommend the harder Vitristone.

Vitristone

Vitristone is produced by crushing and selectively grading solid, vitrified clay material into several sizes for a variety of applications. The extremely hard-burned nature of vitrified clay provides a durable, non-frost susceptible surfacing material that is both decorative and resistant to breakdown from abrasion and freezing/thawing cycles.
